At Lexington Soaps we make our superior skincare products by finding high quality essential oils, butters, and oils from around the world. Simultaneously, we purchase or grow locally our goat milk and lavender buds, respectively, so we are intimately familiar with our ingredients. We seek globally, and source locally. I know the goats that made the milk that made the soaps that we use and sell.
When my son was about three years old he suffered from eczema, and nothing we could find would relieve his discomfort. Finally, my wife decided she would make his bath soap at home from natural ingredients with skin soothing organic ingredients like raw goat milk, honey, and hand ground oatmeal. After about three weeks, the eczema began to subside, and that first Oatmeal Honey was followed by our first Lavender. Interestingly, our Lavender started out as a water based soap simply because the chemistry of soap making allowed for a more stable lavender soap using distilled water rather than goat milk. That was fine, but we really, really like goat milk in our soap, so after much experimentation, and trial and error we finally struck the right combination of ingredients that produced the Lavender goat milk that we were happy with, and make today.
We want you to be completely happy with our products. If you have questions about our ingredients or our services, just get in touch!
